Our chests are made using the widest boards available. Hand planning from rough sawn planks gives the chest a textured finish. The dovetails are hand cut and chiseled. Fasteners are boat building square shank copper rivets and nails.

The unique and hefty hardware is hand forged in Craftsbury Vermont by Mary Sayre. The handles, traditionally called "beckets" are hand made by Didier Murat through many steps, tied, spliced, covered in canvas and leather, tarred and varnished or painted.
